TerraBella cultural programs are CUSTOM DESIGNED to provide the most authentic Italian experience from ROME to RAVELLO.  They include the very popular OLIVE HARVEST & CUISINE in November where we gather olives and take them to be pressed for your very own bottle of salutary organic extra virgin olive oil.  The HANDS-ON cooking classes are taught by local cooks or leading chefs, and you will make fresh pasta, pizza, and famous Italian specialties like Carbonara, Bucatini all'Amatriciana, Saltimbocca alla Romana, Chicken Involtini, Double-baked biscotti, and of course Tiramisu`.

The HISTORICAL TOURS are led by Liza Salvatore, a papal scholar, historian, and principal of TerraBella Services.  She is Italian born, U.S. educated and has her degrees in Italian history, literature, art, and the papacy.  Liza will guide the discerning traveler on the road less traveled to places on the mythological-literary Riviera of Ulysses along the Tyrrhenian Coast, or to Caserta the "Italian Versailles", and the most famous monastery of Western Civilization--Montecassino.  Excursions include Rome, and often Sorrento, Capri, Positano, and Ravello.  Our groups are small, and prices are a fraction of similar programs in Tuscany and Umbria.  Compare our prices in dollars instead of Euro and what we include and you’ll see that our programs offer the best value and the most culturally enriching experience in Italy.   Profits are used for cultural exchanges in Italy and the U.S.

Dinners are multi-course and include an aperitivo, antipasto, pasta, main entree, dessert, coffee, and digestivo.   When possible, they are enjoyed alfresco, and we are often joined by italian friends for a true cultural immersion.  Our long, leisurely dinners adhere to the SLOW FOOD philosophy.
